Weather Forecast. NYE Sunrise in NYC - 7.20 am. NYE Sunset in NYC - 4.38 pm. The temperature highs will be in the mid 50's on Friday, dropping to the mid 40's for the rest of the three day holiday weekend including Monday. The temperature lows will be around 40 through Sunday, dropping into the low 30's on Monday. Humidity will be around 70% on Friday, descending into the 60's for the rest of the three day weekend. The winds will be about 8 to 10 mph on Friday & Saturday, dropping to about 5 to 7 mph on Sunday and Monday. No precipitation is in the forecast, although it will be cloudy all days except NYE Sunday. Have a safe and Happy New Year.

New Years Eve occurs on a Sunday this year. While New Years Eve is one big party, it's important to keep in mind, that like St. Patrick's Day, all the amateurs come out to play [it's not just the Irish who are out drinking on St. Patrick's Day]. So some measure of caution is advised and you have to be careful.

HISTORICALLY THEIR NYE PARTY CONSISTED OF ... the first drink was on them. Free admission before midnight. Hors d'oeuvres and champagne served at midnight. Kitchen remained open until 2 am. Advance deal for open bar was $50 [fyi - this price is year(s) old].

Bronx New Years Eve Theater Organized by Pregones in the Bronx NYC, but Performed in Manhattan

Saturday, December 30, 2023 beginning at 8 pm - The Red Rose NYE Theater Performance

Description. The Puerto Rican Traveling Theater is hosting a play entitled The Red Rose now through January 7, 2024, but not performing every day due to the holidays. Their last performance in 2023 is on Saturday 12/30/23.

Location. Note that while this is organized by Pregones / Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, it is being performed at their Manhattan location which is at 304 West 47th Street in Midtown West not far from Times Square.

Pregones in the Bronx is located at 571 Walton Avenue, but again the performance is at the Manhattan location.

Tickets $15 admission at the door includes snacks and a champagne toast at midnight. Children 16 and under free. Bring a toy for the Three Kings Celebration.

Description. The Made in Puerto Rico Bar & Lounge has a Latin flair and is hosting an NYE party. Doors open 9 pm and the Bronx New Years Eve party runs until 3 am. There will be a DJ music and dancing, free champagne New Year toast, party hats & party favors. Admission $20 - food and drinks pay as you go.

Locations. The Made in Puerto Rico Bar & Lounge has two locations - The NYE party above is at 26 Bruckner Blvd in the Port Morris neighborhood which is adjacent to Mott Haven. As of December 2023 I was told they're also planning something at the Port Morris location at 3363 East Tremont in the Pelham Bay neighborhood of the Bronx. The following is UNCONFIRMED for 2023 / 2024, but what they did in 2022 / 2023 - A local neighborhood Irish NYE party with party favor hats and noisemakers and a champagne midnight toast. There will be a DJ there, so you can dance. Behan's Publick House is a close knit Irish pub with all that that connotes, attracting a mostly younger crowd in their 20's and 30's, but you'll find older folks there as well. You'll find Irish accents, soccer and horse races, and Guinness and Jameson's.

Description. DJ Alex Sensation will host the party, in concert with a couple of other popular DJs - all of whom will be there live. There will be free party favors including noise makers, free champagne toast at midnight and the ball drop on their 30 foot video wall. The ball drop will be live broadcast over the radio.

Admission. Tickets via their website or at eventbrite for $34. The dinner is not prix fixe, so the price will depend on what you order. A New Years Eve dinner party in the Bronx.

Description. The Bronx Zoo offers its Holiday Lights program on NYE in the Bronx, whereby the Zoo stays open until 8 pm except Friday & Saturday when it stays open to 9 pm. The Bronx Zoo operates year round, but closes a few times a year including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Years Day.

In 1991 the An Beal Bocht Cafe began as a non-alcoholic gathering place for artists. A few years later they got their liquor license, eventually expanded into the storefront next door, and continue as an artists, musicians and theater space. An Beal Bocht Cafe is an Irish bar and restaurant that gets its name from a novel which translated from Gaelic means 'The Poor Mouth' by Flann O'Brien and which is considered one of the great Irish novels of its time.
