While generally the Bronx Street Fairs begin in April, this year we're going a bit deeper in the Winter quarter [January through March 2024], to identify some of the year round markets, which while not exactly street fairs, contain some of the elements of the street fair experience including an eclectic offering of merchandise and food items.

We've compiled one of THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE SCHEDULE of BRONX street fairs including street fair TIMES & PHOTOS & maps, some street fair names & sponsors, and street fair maps to help you find your way around during the WINTER [NEW], spring, summer and fall of 2024.

ASTERISKED street fairs of 2024 have been UPDATED. The street fairs with prior year dates reflect the information regarding that fair in a prior year.

UNCONFIRMEDS. The 'UNCONFIRMEDS' represent street fairs held in a prior year, which we believe are returning, but which we have not yet confirmed details for 2024.

• * THROGGS NECK _ Sunday, March 10, 2024 beginning at 12 noon the Throggs Neck St Patricks Day Parade in the Bronx steps off at Lafayette and East Tremont Avenue. The parade marches south on East Tremont Avenue, through the Throgs Neck commercial district, ending about a mile later at Harding and East Tremont Avenue, where a mobile stage is usually set up for parade speechs and entertainment. The parade lasts about an hour, but the festivities go on far longer. Usually there's a St. Patrick's Day mass at St. Benedicts at 2969 Otis Avenue prior to the parade. • * WESTCHESTER _ Sunday, March 10, 2024 the Eastchester St. Patrick's Day parade in the Bronx kicks off at 3 pm at the Immaculate Conception School on Main Street. It marches north on Route 22 - ICS to White Plains Road and ends at Lake Isle Country Club. St. Patrick's Day parades in Westchester County. • * Wednesday, March 20, April 17, May 15 & June 19, 2024 beginning at 4 pm - Bronx Vegan Bazaar at the Andrew Freedman Home at 1145 Concourse in the Concourse / Melrose neighborhoods of the Bronx. A first of its kind in the Bronx vegan market. Admittance is $26 and it includes food tastings.

• * RESCHEDULED - SEE APRIL 6, 2024 _ YONKERS - Saturday, March 23, 2024 beginning at 1 pm, the 66th Annual Yonkers St. Patrick's Parade will march up what they call the Emerald Mile, which is along McLean Avenue from Bronx River Road / Webster Avenue to Coyne Park in Yonkers. • * PELHAM BAY PARK _ Saturday, March 23 & 30, 2024 from 10 am - 2 pm - Easter Egg Hunts - at the Bartow Pell Mansion at 895 Shore Road in Pelham Bay Park. The hunts are four one hour long sessions starting every hour on the hour, costing $15 per child, and adults accompanying children are free. This is mostly a food market with about 50 local vendors versus a street fair in the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx. This is on the first Saturday of each month April - October 2024.

• * Concourse _ Wednesday, April 17, May 15 & June 19, 2024 beginning at 4 pm - Bronx Vegan Bazaar at the Andrew Freedman Home at 1145 Concourse in the Concourse / Melrose neighborhoods of the Bronx. A first of its kind in the Bronx vegan market. Admittance is $26 and it includes food tastings.

It starts between Canal Street and the Battery in Manhattan, depending on the cyclist wave folks are in. And it ends at Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island. • * Bronx Little Italy / Belmont _ Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 12 noon to 6 pm - Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu Fair [bet you can't say that quickly ten times without making a mispronounciation] - at 610 Crescent Avenue [at Arthur Avenue] in the Bronx. A celebration of all things Albanian including food, music, dance and traditional garb. Street fairs in Bronx Little Italy NYC.

• * Longwood / Melrose _ Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 11 am - 6 pm. Official National Puerto Rican Day Parade Street Festival / Annual 152nd Street Cultural Festival - Along 152nd Street between [Prospect & Westchester Ave] Jackson & Tinton in the Longwood / Melrose neighborhoods of the Bronx. It's one of the largest Puerto Rican street festivals in NYC. The National Puerto Rican Day Parade is held two weeks later 6/9/24 in Manhattan.

• * Grand Concourse _ Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 11 am to 7 pm - Vegan Street Fair - at 981 Grand Concourse in the Bronx. They describe the event as follows, " ... all ages vegan food celebration where local vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants and vendors come together to serve [sell] ... bite-size portions of vegan eats [$5] and ... vegan wares ... Attendees can nosh on as many small portions ($5 or less) ... or they can purchase larger items too ...". This is more a food festival in the Bronx than a street fair.

• * Fordham _ Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 4 to 10 pm - Bronx Night Market - in Fordham Plaza at East Fordham Road and Third Avenue across from the Metro North Railway Station. This is mostly a food market versus a street fair in the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx. This occurs every first Saturday of the month from April thru October 2024.

• * Longwood _ Friday, Saturday & Sunday, May 31 - June 2, 2024 from 3.30 - 7 pm Friday, from 12 noon - 7 pm Saturday & 12.30 pm - 6 pm Sunday - South Bronx Cultural Festival. A celebration of Bronx culture at Father Gigante Plaza in front of St. Athanasius Church at 878 Tiffany Street in the Longwood neighborhood of the Bronx. There will be music, dancing and theater done in collaboration with BAAD, the Bronx Arts Ensemble, Ori-Gen Collective and the Bronx Heritage Music Center. Free. It's the annual Feast of St Anthony at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 627 East 187th Street at Arthur Avenue. The triangle of streets along Cresent and Arthur Avenues & 187th Street in the Little Italy section of the Belmont neighborhood in the Bronx will be celebrating the Feast of St. Anthony with a street fair with rides, games, raffles, food and entertainment every night. Officially the street fair is being held along East 187th street from Arthur to Beaumont Avenue, and along Crescent from Cambreleng to Belmont Avenue. The event begins with pre-parade registration & activities usually beginning at 11 am [free]. The parade begins at 12 noon at The Point CDC at 940 Garrison Avenue and marches down to Hunts Point Riverside Park at 1409 Lafayette Avenue at Edgewater Road [just across the Bronx River from Soundview Park] where the festival begins, generally around 1 pm. • * Kingsbridge Heights _ Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 12 noon to 6 pm - Carnaval de la Cultura Latina will be at 195th Street between Reservoir and Jerome Avenues. There will be live entertainmnet on the main stage, as well as appearances by government officials, as well as food and shopping stands, and a number of booths operated by city and state agencies and local businesses. • Saturday, July 6, 2024 beginning at 5 pm gathering, 7 pm concert and 9 pm - Coop City Independence Day Fireworks in the Bronx - at the Little League Field in Co-op City in the Bronx. People will start gathering around 5 pm, there's a concert by the Unique Band at 7 pm and the fireworks show will begin around 9 pm. This fireworks display hasn't happened since prior to the pandemic [I think 2019 was the last show], and after giving up hope that it would resume, it appears to be returning. The parade is organized by Community Board 2 and begins at Westchester & Southern Blvd, marching south along Southern Blvd, turning right on Intervale and ending at Dawson Street & Rogers Place in the Bill Rainey Park in the Foxhurst / Longwood neighborhood of the Bronx. • * NYC _ Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 2 am - Daylight Savings Time Ends. This is where we will 'fall back' by moving our clocks back one hour starting at 2 am Sunday, or before going to bed Saturday night.

• * NYC _ Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 8 am - 5 pm - The NYC Marathon runners begin congregating at Fort Wadsworth at the foot of the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge on Staten Island beginning at 7 am. The Professional Wheelchairs take off at 8 am, the Handcyclists at 8.22 am, the Professional Women at 8.40 am, and the Professional Men at 9.05 am, with the last wave at 11.40 am. Staten Island is the starting poinit, while Brooklyn is the first leg, the Queens segment of the course is around the midpoint before heading into Manhattan, then north to the Bronx over the Willis Avenue Bridge, where they do a U turn by heading west over the Madison Avenue Bridge before turning south into Manhattan and Central Park.   • So you can do some math to figure out when to greet them in your borough. The fastest men complete the race in a bit more than two hours, while the average is 4 hours and 40 minutes. The midpoint is in Queens. The biggest wave of runners travel through Queens around 11 am, so you can figure out the rest. The weather is expected to be pleasant. Enjoy.

Color guard units from SUNY Maritime College will participate. Organized by the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance and Community Board 8 in collaboration with the NYC Parks Department. • * Morrisania _ Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 12.30 - 5 pm. Bronx is Rising Discussion of the film Fort Apache the Bronx - Discussion begins at 12.30 pm and from 3.30 - 5 pm there's a meal. At Bronx Music Hall Plaza at 438 East 163rd Street [at Washington], which will be the new home for Bronx Music Heritage Center in Morrisania just north of Melrose. Rsvps not required. Not a Bronx St Fair, but a community event in the Morrisania neighborhood of the Bronx.

• * Concourse _ Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm - Boogie on the Blvd - Along the Grand Concourse from 165th - 166th Streets. Music, arts & crafts and possibly some shopping. It appears to be a scaled back version of prior similar events. Bronx street fairs organized by the Bronx Museum in front of the museum.x

• * Belmont - Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays in September of 2022 from 6pm to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1pm to 9pm on Sundays - Piazza di Belmont - Outdoor dining on Arthur Avenue which will be closed to vehicular traffic from East 188th Street to Crescent Avenue during the above mentioned times.

• * Longwood _ Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 12 noon - 3 pm - Bronx River Alliance Community Paddle - Enter Concrete Park at the Westchester Avenue Park entrance in Longwood. This is a three hour opportunity for adults and kids to try their hand at paddling a small boat on the Bronx River. Free. Not a street fair, but rather community activities - just north of Hunts Point and just west of Soundview.
