I. First October Weekend Street Fairs Bronx NYC _ October 1 -3, 2021

  • Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 10 am - 6 pm - Castle Hill Bronx Fall Fair - Along Castle Hill Avenue from Sterling to Westchester Avenue. Street fairs and festivals in the Castle Hill neighborhood of the Bronx.
  • Sunday, October 2, 2021 from 12 noon - 3 pm - Randall's Island Park Alliance Festival - Near Fields 62 - 63 in Randall's Island, just north of Ward's Meadow on the southeast tip of the island. Cider, cookies, doughnuts, dance class, pumpkin decorating, Latin dance class and live music. The Randall's Island Park Alliance is hosting a harvest celebration. Free.
  • FORDHAM _ October 2021 EVERY Saturday from about 4 - 10 pm - Bronx Night Market - in Fordham Plaza at East Fordham Road (189th Street) and Third Avenue across from the Metro North Railway Station. This is mostly a food and beverage market with 35 food vendors in the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx. Ends Oct 31.
  • BELMONT - October 2021 EVERY weekend from 6pm - 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 pm - 9 pm on Sundays - Piazza di Belmont - Outdoor dining on Arthur Avenue which will be closed to vehicular traffic from East 188th Street to Crescent Avenue during the above mentioned times. Ends Oct 31.

 

  • I BELIEVE THIS WAS HELD ON SEPTEMBER 2ND, 2021 _ Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 5.30 pm - 9.30 pm - Throgs Neck Classic Car Cruise - At Waterfront NYC Restaurant at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point Park at 500 Hutchison River Parkway in Throgs Neck. Antique auto show where the focus is on the 350 cars that include antique, classic, muscle, hot rods, race cars, custom cars and more. Food, drink, music and games.

 

II. Second October Weekend Street Fairs Bronx NYC _ October 4 - 10, 2021

  • Sunday, October 10, 2021 - Columbus Day Parade - Assembly begins at 11 am & marching begins at 12 noon. Since 1977 - 42nd Annual Bronx Columbus Day Parade - Along Morris Park Avenue beginning at Wallace Avenue marching down to Williamsbridge Road and Lydig Avenue.   • THE SECOND FESTIVAL WAS HELD VIRTUALLY IN APRIL 2021 _ Saturday & Sunday, October 6 & 7, 2018 from 12 noon - 6 pm and until 4 pm Sunday - 1st Annual New York Pizza Festival - At Crescent Avenue and Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. There will be about 34 of the top pizza-makers from the NYC metro area demonstrating their skills. Prices are $25 for three slices and $35 for six: and $20 for three drinks and $30 for five - tickets at www.nycpizzafestival.com. Bronx street fairs in the Belmont neighborhood & Fordham neighborhood.

  • Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 11 am - 5 pm. Jerome Avenue / Gun Hill Fall Festival in the Bronx. Along Jerome Avenue from East Mosholu Parkway to East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx. This street fair in the Norwood neighborhood of the Bronx will have food, shopping, arts & crafts, music and games.

  • BELMONT / BX LITTLE ITALY _ Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 12 noon - 6 pm. Ferragosto Festival. Along Arthur Avenue between Crescent and 187th Street, and along East 186th Street between Arthur & Hughes Avenues. It's an Italian harvest celebration & celebrating 100 years of Arthur Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx. Bronx St Fairs in the Belmont neighborhood.x
  • MELROSE _ Sunday, September 12, 2021 beginning at 5 pm. Bronx is Rising at Bronx Music Hall Plaza - At Bronx Music Hall Plaza at 438 East 163rd Street [at Washington], which will be the new home for Bronx Music Heritage Center in Melrose. Seating limited and masks required. Not a Bronx St Fair, but a concert in the Melrose neighborhood of the Bronx.

 

  • DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE RETURNING 2021 _ NOTE YEAR _ Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 11 am - 6 pm. Central American Independence Parade. The parade begins at 12 noon at East Tremont Avenue & Southern Blvd, which is the site of the Happy Land Fire Memorial where in 1990 about 100 people lost their lives - mostly Honduran Garifuna celebrating carnival. This parade celebrates Honduran Garifuna and snakes its way down Boston Road, then Charlotte Street to Crotona Park East - ending between Crotona Avenue and Claremont Parkway. Street fairs in the Bronx neighborhood of West Farms.
  • DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE RETURNING 2021 _ NOTE YEAR _ Sunday, September 8, 2019 beginning between 1 and 3 pm [after the parade above] until about 6 pm - Central American Independence Festival. In Crotona Park entering at Crotona Avenue and Claremont Parkway. The festival includes stage performances, and Honduran Garifuna culture food, drink, arts and crafts for the whole family.   • DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE RETURNING 2021 _ NOTE YEAR _ Saturday, September 7, 2019 - New Roots Community Farm Harvest Festival - At 670 Grand Concourse near 153rd Street. Food, music, kids' activities, and a Harvest Contest featuring prizes for best vegetables and fruits, floral arrangements, garden photos, and pies. Free to attend. Not a traditional Bronx street fair, but a mix of farmers and community gardeners celebration.

  • PELHAM BAY PARK _ Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 12 noon - 4 pm. Bronx Native American Festival - In Pelham Bay Park in the south picnic area. Master of Ceremonies Bobby Gonzales [Taino], The Silvercloud Singers and Thunderbird American Dancers [both of latter groups are inter-tribal]. Street fairs & festivals in the Pelham Bay Park neighborhood of the East Bronx.

There are new musical performances about every half hour. Free.

Kingsbridge Art & Music Festival / National Night Out - Arts & crafts for sale and music along 234th Street between Broadway and Bailey Avenue in the Kingsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. V. Fifth August Weekend Street Fairs Bronx NYC _ August 23 - 29, 2021

  • Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 11 am - 6 pm - Westchester Avenue Festival - Along Westchester Avenue from Bergen to 3rd Avenue in the Melrose neighborhood [near Mott Haven] of the Bronx. Bronx street fairs in the Melrose neighborhood. CV.
  • BRONX NIGHT MKT / PIAZZA BELMONT.
  • Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 7.30 am - 6 pm - 5 Boro Bike Tour - In four staggered waves of riders [last one at 9.20 am] beginning in Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan and ending at 6 pm near the Staten Island Ferry terminal, after winding through 40 miles in all five boroughs. Proceeds go to Bike New York and you may obtain details at www.bike.nyc.
  • August 18 - September 30, 2021 - Cow Parade - At various sites in all five boroughs. The cows will be auctioned September 1 - 30, 2021. Hours and locations vary. This event includes live music and dance entertainment, food and shopping. Live entertainment and booths. Street fairs near Mt Eden in the Mount Hope neighborhood of the Central Bronx & Montefiore one of organizers.x FREE.
  • Sunday, July 18, 2021 [guessing the time] from 12 noon - 8 pm - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Feast Day - A block party on Belmont Avenue at East 187th Street in the Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx. The affair will include food, entertainment and games.

  • Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 10 am - 6 pm - Castle Hill Avenue Summer Fair - Along Castle Hill Avenue between Starling and Westchester Avenues in the Parkchester and Westchester Square neighborhoods of the Bronx.
  • Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 12 - 5 pm - There's a Bronx Doc Film Block Party at 614 Courtlandt Street at 151st Street in the Melrose neighborhood of the Bronx.
  • Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 12 noon - 4 pm. Bronx Dominican Parade - I believe it begins at 12 noon along Grand Concourse from East Tremont Avenue south to East 167th Street. There's a festival street fair that generally follows the parade and lasts well into the evening. Street fairs in the Bronx neighborhood of Concourse.

  • NOT RETURNING IN 2021 _ Friday, Saturday & Sunday, July 26 - 28, 2019 - Panorama Music Festival on Randall's Island - There's a series of modern music concerts entitled Panorama Music Festival running all weekend long on Randall's Island. There are three stages which will feature literally dozens of highly regarded bands and musical artists over the weekend. Generally the times run from about noon until about 10 pm [music - $125 rsvp www.panorama.nyc].
  • DID NOT RETURN IN 2019, 2020 NOR 2021 _ Friday, Saturday & Sunday July 20 - 22 and July 27 - 29, 2018 from 12 noon - 6 pm - The Festival Popular Duartiano - Along Clay Avenue between Claremont Parkway East and East 173rd Street in the South Bronx. This Bronx street fair is also the place where folks will go following the Dominican Independence Parade on Sunday, July 29. Bronx street fairs in Claremont Village.
  • NONE IN 2021 _ Sunday, July 23, 2017 - LAST YEAR NONE IN JULY, THIS YEAR 2018 ONLY ONE IN AUG - from 12 noon to 4 pm - Boogie on the Blvd - Along Grand Concourse from 162nd to 170th Streets. Bronx street fairs organized by the Bronx Museum.
  • NO BBQ MUSIC FEST BUT THE NYBG HOSTS A CONCERT SERIES ON THURSDAYS IN JULY / AUG _ N&W B _ Fridays, July 13 & July 27, 2018 - doors open 5 pm - Concert begins 7 pm - Musical concert at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. FYI - I couldn't find anything about the Big Backyard BBQ & Music Festival, so it may not be returning. Street fairs in the Riverdale neighborhood of the North and West Bronx.
  • * Saturday, July 27, 2019 - Music & Poetry Festival from 5 - 9 pm at Boricua College Outdoor Amphitheater at 890 Washington Avenue at Elton Street near 161st Street in Melrose. The event is organized by WHEDCO which is the Women's Housing & Economic Development Corporation and this is unconfirmed but I believe it's free.
  • ON HIATUS IN 2020 & 2021 _ NOT SURE ABOUT FUTURE _ Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 2.30 - 7.30 pm / Lincoln Center Out of Doors & Teatro Pregones presents a full afternoon of theater and music at their block party - "Poetry: Dakota Camacho, Rashidah Ismaili, Enriqueta Lunez, Haki R. Madhubuti, Willie Perdomo, Julian Randall, Peggy Robles-Alvarado, Sonia Sanchez, Matthew Shenoda, and Yolanda Wisher / Music: Chief Joseph Chatoyer Garifuna Folkloric Ballet, Kelsey Pyro, Lone Piñon, Nina Dilet & The Mysphitz, and Raye Zaragoza / MC: Baba Israel." FREE. At 575 Walton Street in the Concourse neighborhood [near Mott Haven] of the Bronx.

  • Thursday - Sunday, April 11 - 14, 2019 from 10 am - 5 pm [except opening night begins at 6 pm] - Garden Furniture & Antiques Fair - At the New York Botanical Gardens at 2900 Southern Blvd in the Belmont neighborhood of the Central Bronx NYC. St fairs in the Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx.
  • Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 5 - 11 pm - Hip Hop Film Festival - At NBT at 2037 5th Avenue in the EAST HARLEM neighborhood of Manhattan. The festival begins at 5 pm when there's an actors' den where producers, directors and actors prep for readings, the readings run from 8 - 10 pm, and conversation and bar until 11 pm. Tickets are $25.

 

MAY - South Bronx Street Fairs nyc

  • Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 3 - 9 pm - Cinco de Mayo Celebration - At Pier 132 [a bar] in the Port Morris neighborhood of the South Bronx. Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the Port Morris neighborhood of the South Bronx. FYI - This is a bar promotional event, which I posted only because I couldn't find any major general public events celebratiing Cinco de Mayo in the Bronx, which I found surprising.
  • Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 7.30 am - 12 noon [officially it goes until 5 pm but it rolls through city & the Bronx is early on] - 5 Boro Bike Ride. NOT a street fair, but a city-wide cycling event.
  • [TIME UNCONFIRMED / AWAITING LOCATION INFO] Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 10 am - 4 pm - Bronx Health Fair. There's a Health Fair which is part of the Bronx Week programming by the Bronx Borough President. I am awaiting location information and the time noted above is just an estimate.   • Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10 am - 6 pm - Stadium Street Fair - Along River Avenue from 158th to 161st Street in the South Bronx NYC. Street fairs in the Concourse neighborhood of the Bronx.
  • Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 12 - 5 pm - Bronx Dreamfest. There's an Bronx Arts Festival being held in celebration of Bronx Week at the Andrew Freedman Home at 1125 Grand Concourse only blocks away from the Bronx Museum. It will include performances and vendors in the large yard outside the hom. Free.
  • Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 11 am - 5 pm. Official National Puerto Rican Day Parade Street Festival / Annual 152nd Street Cultural Festival - Along 152nd Street between Jackson & Union Avenues in the Melrose neighborhood. It's one of the largest Puerto Rican street festivals in NYC. Bronx street fairs in Melrose, but the National Puerto Rican Day Parade is held a week later in Manhattan.

  • Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 11.30 am - 6 pm. Bronx Week Parade & Fair. The parade begins at 11.30 am at Fordham Plaza and marches 2 miles north [I believe along Webster Avenue], ending at the Bronx Week Fair on Mosholu Parkway & Bainbridge. The Bronx Week Fair begins at 12 noon [ends around 6 pm] along Mosholu Parkway between Bainbridge and Van Cortlandt Avenue East. It will include food, music and entertainment. Parades and street fairs in Fordham, st fairs in Norwood, street fairs near Bedford Park in the Bronx.

  • Sunday, March 10, 2019 beginning at 9 am St Patrick's Day Mass at St Benedicts, 10 am Breakfast Schuylers Funeral Home, 11 am Assembly - The Throggs Neck St Partrick's Day Parade begins at 12 noon along East Tremont at Lafayette, marches south to Harding Avenue where it turns west and ends at Harding and Brinsmade Avenues in Throgs Neck in the Bronx.
  • WESTCHESTER - Sunday, March 10, 2019 the Eastchester St. Patrick's Day parade kicks off at 3 pm at the Immaculate Conception School on Main Street. It marches north to White Plains Road and ends at Lake Isle Country Club. St. Patrick's Day parades in Westchester County.
  • YONKERS - Saturday, March 23, 2019 the Yonkers St. Patrick's parade kicks off at 1 pm on McLean Avenue beginning at Hyatt Avenue and ending at McCollum Place. Yonkers St. Pat's Parade route.

 

APRIL - East Bronx Street Fairs NYC

  • Thursday - Sunday, April 11 - 14, 2019 from 10 am - 5 pm [except opening night begins at 6 pm] - Garden Furniture & Antiques Fair - At the New York Botanical Gardens at 2900 Southern Blvd in the Belmont neighborhood of the Central Bronx NYC. St fairs in the Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx.
  • Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 10 am - 1 pm there's an Easter Egg Hunt at the Bartow Pell Mansion at 895 Shore Road in Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx. $15 per child.
