November / December - Street Fairs - Bronx Holiday Markets

  • Saturday, November 2, 2019 - The Bronx Veterans Day Parade begins at 12 noon at Crotona Parkway & 175th Street [near Southern Blvd]. The parade stops at the West Farms Soldiers Cemetery at 180th Street and Bryant where an hour long memorial is commemorated. The Bronx Veterans Day Parade ends at River Park at Boston Road & 180th Street.

  • Monday, September 2 - 9, 2019 - St Francis de Chantal School Carnaval Street Fair - The street fair / carnival runs all week in the parking lot at 190 Hollywood Avenue from Monday, September 2nd to September 9th, 2019. Bronx street fairs in Throgs Neck.x
  • Saturday, September 7, 2019 - New Roots Community Farm Harvest Festival - At 670 Grand Concourse near 153rd Street. Food, music, kids' activities, and a Harvest Contest featuring prizes for best vegetables and fruits, floral arrangements, garden photos, and pies. Free to attend. Not a traditional Bronx street fair, but a mix of farmers and community gardeners celebration.
  • Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 10 am - 6 pm. Ferragosto Festival. Along Arthur Avenue between Crescent and 187th Street, and along East 186th Street between Arthur & Hughes Avenues. It's an Italian harvest celebration & celebrating 100 years of Arthur Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx. Bronx St Fairs in the Belmont neighborhood.x
  • Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 11 am - 6 pm. Central American Independence Parade. The parade begins at 12 noon at East Tremont Avenue & Southern Blvd, which is the site of the Happy Land Fire Memorial where in 1990 about 100 people lost their lives - mostly Honduran Garifuna celebrating carnival. This parade celebrates Honduran Garifuna and winds its way down Boston Road, then Charlotte Street to Crotona Park East - ending between Crotona Avenue and Claremont Parkway. Street fairs in the Bronx neighborhood of West Farms.
  • Sunday, September 8, 2019 beginning between 1 and 3 pm [after the parade above] until about 6 pm - Central American Independence Festival. In Crotona Park entering at Crotona Avenue and Claremont Parkway. The festival includes stage performances, and Honduran Garifuna culture food, drink, arts and crafts for the whole family. Street fairs in the Bronx neighborhood of West Farms.

  • Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10 am - 6 pm. Mind Builders Street Festival. - At 3415 Olinville Avenue between Dumcomb and Magenta.
  • Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 12 noon - 3 pm - Bronx Puerto Rican Day [Parade] Festival in Mullaly Park at 164th & 165th Streets / Jerome Avenue. Live entertainment, food and shopping. The parade isn't until next weekend.
  • Saturday & Sunday, September 14 & 15, 2019 from 11 am - 7 pm - City Island Arts & Crafts Fair - Along City Island Avenue between Fordham and Carroll Streets. Hawkins Street Park is the epicenter. The fair is unique with paintings, photography, jewelry, stained glass, native crafts, bath & body products, clothing, face painting, fishing trophies and more. Street fairs festivals in the City Island neighborhood of the East Bronx.
  • Saturday, September 7, 14, 21 & 28, 2019 from 4 pm - 10 pm. Bronx Night Market - At 2413 Third Avenue in the Fordham Plaza at 189th Street and Washington Avenue. There will be 50 Bronx vendors there selling food and beverages. Street fairs in the Fordham neighborhood of the Central Bronx.

  • Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 10 am to 6 pm - Mexico Vive - Along Morrison Avenue between Westchester and Watson Avenues.

IV. Fourth September Weekend Street Fairs Bronx NYC _ September 16 - 22, 2019

  • Saturday, September 7, 14, 21 & 28, 2019 from 4 pm - 10 pm. Bronx Night Market - Bronx Night Market - In the Fordham Plaza at 189th Street and Washington Avenue, which is just south of the Fordham train station next to the University. There will be 50 Bronx vendors there selling food and beverages. Street fairs in the Fordham neighborhood of the Central Bronx.
  • Saturday, September 21, 2019 opening 7.30 am, starting 9.30 am & kids at 10.30 am. Not a street fair per se, but there's a 5K run organized by Randall's Island Park Alliance, that journeys around some of the island pathways, beginning and ending at Icahn Stadium. The race begins at 9.30 am, but the site opens at 7.30 am and there's a children's fun run at 10.30 am. The online registration has closed but you can register on site for $50 as long as open slots are available.
  • Sunday, September 22, 2019 line up at 10 am and kick off at 1 pm - Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade - Along the Grand Concourse from 164th to 173rd Street. Bronx Parades near Mott Haven, Melrose and the Concourse neighborhoods of the Bronx.

 

V. Fifth September Weekend Street Fairs Bronx NYC _ September 23 - 29, 2019

  • Friday, September 27, 2019 from 4 - 8 pm - Bronx River Alliance Fun Time - Enter Concrete Park at the Westchester Avenue Park entrance in Longwood. On the last Friday of the month the BRA hosts foodway tours, free paddling and art workshops. Free. Not a street fair, but rather community activities - just north of Hunts Point and just west of Soundview.
  • Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10 am - 6 pm. Fordham Road Food Festival - Along Fordham Road from Valentine to Tiebout and from Creston to Grand Concourse. Street fairs in the Fordham neighborhood of the Central Bronx.
  • Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 4 pm - 10 pm. Bronx Night Market - In the Fordham Plaza at 189th Street and Washington Avenue, which is just south of the Fordham train station next to the University. There will be 50 Bronx vendors there selling food and beverages. Street fairs in the Fordham neighborhood of the Central Bronx.
  • Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 12 noon - 4 pm. Bronx Native American Festival - In Pelham Bay Park in the south picnic area. Master of Ceremonies Bobby Gonzales [Taino], The Silvercloud Singers and Thunderbird American Dancers [both of latter groups are inter-tribal]. Street fairs & festivals in the Pelham Bay Park neighborhood of the East Bronx.

  • Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 11 am - 3 pm - Mosholu Parkway Renaissance Festival at the Kossuth Playground along East Mosholu Parkway between Van Cortlandt Avenue East & Jerome Avenue. It's free, all ages welcome and the event includes music, games, drinks and food. They encourage folks to come in costume. Belmont street fairs in the Bronx.
  • Saturday & Sunday, October 5 & 6, 2019 from 12 noon - 5 pm and until 4 pm Sunday - 2nd Annual New York Pizza Festival - At Crescent Avenue and Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. There will be about 34 of the top pizza-makers from the NYC metro area demonstrating their skills. Prices are $25 for three slices and $35 for six: and $20 for three drinks and $30 for five - tickets at www.nycpizzafestival.com.   • Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 12 noon - 4 pm - Randall's Island Park Alliance Festival - Near Fields 62 - 63 in Randall's Island, just north of Ward's Meadow on the southeast tip of the island. The Randall's Island Park Alliance is hosting a harvest celebration. Free.

  • Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 5.30 pm - 9.30 pm - Throggs Neck Classic Car Cruise - At Waterfront NYC Restaurant at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point Park at 500 Hutchison River Parkway in Throgs Neck. Antique auto show where the focus is on the 350 cars that include antique, classic, muscle, hot rods, race cars, custom cars and more. Food, drink, music and games. FB.
  • Friday thru Monday, October 11 - 14, 2019. Times vary but likely fit into one of the two following categories: from 11 am - 5 pm on weekend & 7 am - 4 pm on weekdays - Indigenous People's Celebration - On Randall's Island at Ward's Field. St fairs & festivals on Randall's Island.
  • Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 10 am - 6 pm - 17th Annual Jerome / Gun Hill Street Festival - Along Jerome Avenue from Gun Hill Road to Mosholu Parkway. Bronx street fairs in Norwood hosted by the Jerome Avenue BID.
  • Sunday, October 13, 2019 - Columbus Day Parade begins assembly at 11 am & marching begins at 12 noon. Since 1977 - 43rd Annual Bronx Columbus Day Parade - Along Morris Park Avenue beginning at White Plains Road. Parades in the Morris Park neighborhood of the East Bronx. Morris Park street fairs & street festivals in the Bronx.

 

III. Third October Weekend St Fairs Bronx NYC _ October 15 - 21, 2019

Family-friendly guided bike ride through about twenty-two miles north of the Bronx. Taking the train at Brewster back. Bring at least $25 for train.
  • Saturdays - October [except 10/12 Columbus Day Weekend], 2019 from 4 pm - 10 pm.   • Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 12 noon - 6 pm - 31st Annual South Bronx Halloween Day Parade - The parade starts at Simpson Street at East 163rd Street and Westchester Avenue marching down Southern Blvd to Fox Street ending in front of St Ambrosius Church where there's a festival with a costume contest, ending at 6 pm.
  • Saturdays - October [except 10/12 Columbus Day Weekend], 2019 from 4 pm - 10 pm. Bronx Night Market - In the Fordham Plaza at 189th Street and Washington Avenue, which is just south of the Fordham train station next to the University.   • Thursday - Sunday, April 11 - 14, 2019 from 10 am - 5 pm [except opening night begins at 6 pm] - Garden Furniture & Antiques Fair - At the New York Botanical Gardens at 2900 Southern Blvd in the Belmont neighborhood of the Central Bronx NYC. St fairs in the Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx.
  • Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 5 - 11 pm - Hip Hop Film Festival - At NBT at 2037 5th Avenue in the EAST HARLEM neighborhood of Manhattan. The festival begins at 5 pm when there's an actors' den where producers, directors and actors prep for readings, the readings run from 8 - 10 pm, and conversation and bar until 11 pm. Tickets are $25.

 

MAY - South Bronx Street Fairs nyc

  • Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 3 - 9 pm - Cinco de Mayo Celebration - At Pier 132 [a bar] in the Port Morris neighborhood of the South Bronx. Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the Port Morris neighborhood of the South Bronx. FYI - This is a bar promotional event, which I posted only because I couldn't find any major general public events celebratiing Cinco de Mayo in the Bronx, which I found surprising.
  • Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 7.30 am - 12 noon [officially it goes until 5 pm but it rolls through city & the Bronx is early on] - 5 Boro Bike Ride. NOT a street fair, but a city-wide cycling event.
  • [TIME UNCONFIRMED / AWAITING LOCATION INFO] Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 10 am - 4 pm - Bronx Health Fair. There's a Health Fair which is part of the Bronx Week programming by the Bronx Borough President. I am awaiting location information and the time noted above is just an estimate.   • Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10 am - 6 pm - Stadium Street Fair - Along River Avenue from 158th to 161st Street in the South Bronx NYC. Street fairs in the Concourse neighborhood of the Bronx.
  • Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 12 - 5 pm - Bronx Dreamfest. There's an Bronx Arts Festival being held in celebration of Bronx Week at the Andrew Freedman Home at 1125 Grand Concourse only blocks away from the Bronx Museum. It will include performances and vendors in the large yard outside the hom. Free.
  • Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 11.30 am - 6 pm. Bronx Week Parade & Fair. The parade begins at 11.30 am at Fordham Plaza and marches 2 miles north [I believe along Webster Avenue], ending at the Bronx Week Fair on Mosholu Parkway & Bainbridge. The Bronx Week Fair begins at 12 noon [ends around 6 pm] along Mosholu Parkway between Bainbridge and Van Cortlandt Avenue East. It will include food, music and entertainment. Parades and street fairs in Fordham, st fairs in Norwood, street fairs near Bedford Park in the Bronx.
  • Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 11 am - 5 pm. Official National Puerto Rican Day Parade Street Festival / Annual 152nd Street Cultural Festival - Along 152nd Street between Jackson & Union Avenues in the Melrose neighborhood. It's one of the largest Puerto Rican street festivals in NYC. Bronx street fairs in Melrose, but the National Puerto Rican Day Parade is held a week later in Manhattan.

  • Sunday, March 10, 2019 beginning at 9 am St Patrick's Day Mass at St Benedicts, 10 am Breakfast Schuylers Funeral Home, 11 am Assembly - The Throggs Neck St Partrick's Day Parade begins at 12 noon along East Tremont at Lafayette, marches south to Harding Avenue where it turns west and ends at Harding and Brinsmade Avenues in Throgs Neck in the Bronx.
  • WESTCHESTER - Sunday, March 10, 2019 the Eastchester St. Patrick's Day parade kicks off at 3 pm at the Immaculate Conception School on Main Street. It marches north to White Plains Road and ends at Lake Isle Country Club. St. Patrick's Day parades in Westchester County.
  • YONKERS - Saturday, March 23, 2019 the Yonkers St. Patrick's parade kicks off at 1 pm on McLean Avenue beginning at Hyatt Avenue and ending at McCollum Place. Yonkers St. Pat's Parade route.
